Located in the heart of Knoxville, Gary Heatherly has been capturing life on film for 15 years.  In addition to his two books, Knoxville Then and Now and Knoxville, Gateway to the South, his work has appeared extensively on front covers and inside feature articles in national magazines, on TV, and in ads for clients around the world. Gary is a Fine Arts graduate from the University Of Tennessee.

Television such as in 1994 when Gary was chosen to fly to the Philippines to shoot extensive locations throughout the country for the Miss Universe Pageant being held in Manila. His photos were enlarged to 20 x 50 foot backlit murals used as backgrounds for the internationally telecast event seen by hundreds of millions of people around the world.

In his studio in The Candy Factory, Gary has one of the largest and most complete stock photo files of Knoxville and the surrounding region.  He sells the images continuously to clients who need these pictures for brochures, annual reports, and other print media as well as Web sites. He travels extensively in the Caribbean shooting for travel magazines and also shooting for resorts and private villa owners.

Gary currently has two coffee table books on the shelves, Knoxville Then and Now (take a tour with Gary on the Internet!), and Knoxville Gateway to the South.
